Nick Alderweireldt is Indaver’s lead engineer for thermal treatment. He is responsible for concept design and project management from call for tender to construction of all of Indaver’s thermal treatment facilities throughout Europe such as our grate furnaces, fluidized bed incinerators, rotary kilns and roasting kilns.
He is the knowledge manager of waste-to-energy process technologies and as such responsible for coaching and training our process engineers and setting up a multi-regional communications and knowledge platform, known as ‘process academy’. He has been a guest lecturer on process technology at several universities and conferences and is the co-author of several publications.
Nick holds a Masters degree in chemical and bio-engineering and has been working at Indaver since 1989.
